The Native Americans – 1 of 5 – The Far West Generous Spirit

The Native Americans
Episode One
The Far West, Generous Spirit
The Population of Native California was reduced by 90% during the 19th century—from over 200,000 in the late 19th century to approximate 15,000 at the end of the century. Epidemics swept through California Indian Country, such as the 1833 malaria epidemic. In 1834 the Spanish missions shifted to Mexican control and were secularized, but lands under their control were not reverted to tribes. Many landless Indians found wage labor on ranches. The United States took control of California in 1848 with the signing of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, that did not honor aboriginal land title.

  1. People need to understand that Acts and Statutes are not laws. Treaty is
law. The fix is so simple it eludes us.

  2. Sometimes it makes me sick that I have the skin color I do. My genetic
ancestry is mostly that of Ireland and some Iceland. I would have never
done such things to people, and in fact would have embraced it. The life
the invaders brought with them is killing everyone of all colors.

  3. 45.38 “Your time of decay may be distant, but it will surely come. For
even white man who’s god walked and talked with him, as friend with friend,
cannot be exempt from the common destiny. We may be brothers after all.
    We will see.” Chief Seattle

  4. Nobody can refute proof of mitochondrial DNA that people of the Americas
    migrated from Asia.

  5. Spirituality is real, individually among us all.
Religion is a way to control the masses, to control us all.
Listen to your soul, and follow your heart.

  6. Don’t ever stop asking questions because they can’t brain wash you if you
ask enough questions too see rite through the lies. Their story will have
holes in it if you pay attention. Because the truth is always unwavering.
Always is what it is. You can contact your higher power for yourself, and
    its free.

  7. 20:10 oh, so when white people talk about how they want Indians to be wiped
off the face of the earth, it’s (rightfully considered) horrifying and
evil, but when Indians do the exact same thing, it’s “very understandable”
and justified and nothing’s wrong with it whatsoever.
Looks like racism against whites is the norm in this country.

  8. What ever befalls the Earth befalls is people, you cant get much more truth
than that…these teachings and beliefs are just common sense. Beautiful
    people.

  9. …..at this mo …sat 4th of july,how apt….6 dislikes ,really, are there
